Great in every aspect
We stayed at the Grand from Sept. 3rd thru 5th and it was great for our needs. The location was within easy walking distance of a main "hub" area where tours, metro, etc. were all located. At night there was lots of activity Live music, stores open late, etc. in this area. For the sturdy walker (like my wife and daughter) you could walk to the harborfront, entertainment, and financial areas all from the hotel. This made dining, clubs, and live entertainment all accessible by foot and the cab back to the hotel (at the end of a full rich day) was never more than $10.00. The room/suite we had was great. The breakfast was pretty standard hot breakfast buffet. We experienced excellent service. We had a valet park the car when we got there after 10 hours of driving, and just told them we wanted to change to the less expensive self parking the next day. Never had to move the car until we left. We had big fun.

very nice
I have stayed at this hotel twice now, and both times it was a lovely experience. The staff are helpful, the rooms are clean and well kept, and the complimentary breakfast is the best Ive found. The rooftop hot tubs are an extra special treat after a long day of shopping in Toronto. I would happily stay there again. The only complaint I have would be the parking garage. It is extremely tight, and I am sure many people end up damaging their vehicles trying to negotiate the tight spaces.

Great full breakfast buffet,Good location, very nice room
We stayed here over Labor Day weekend 2009. The full breakfast buffet was fabulous. Plenty of food & it was delicious. They served scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, french toast, pastries, breads, cereals, juices, coffee & tea. The hotel staff was friendly & helpful. The room was very nice & clean. They also come around later in the day & ask if you need more towels or anything. The room had laminate floors, down pillows & down coverlette over the very comfortable king size bed. It was nice to have a separate living area & an additional flat screen TV but wished there was a full wall separating it from the bedroom.I was disappointed with the small kitchenette, no pots or pans to cook with. Only had one fork, one knife, two spoons. The area did have some buildings in disrepair but over all I felt safe . Just a few blocks from Yonge St.where you can get on the subway trains that will take you all over the city. They also have buses but we only used them to get from the airport & connect to the subway & then a short walk to the hotel. That was the least expensive way to get there. Close to all the stores & shops on Yonge St also. Supermarket is a short walk. We found prices to be very high for everything. We enjoyed having dinner at the CN Tower. The food & drinks were good but on the expensive side as well. We enjoyed our trip & would return again.
