Beautiful grounds, questionable rooms
The beach and the grounds with all the beautiful plants were very well maintained and made the stay worthwhile. The room was rather shabby with chipped and broken furniture, a rusty microwave, no table and an uncomfortable bed. Thank goodness there’s no need to be in the room very much!

Not a nice place.
There were no elevators, so you have to carry your own bags. We stayed 3 nights, the room was cleaned only once. Giant roach in the room. I would not recommend this hotel. The beach was a little rocky. Rent a car if you go to St. Thomas. The taxis are expensive.

Great beach hotel !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved this hotel. Our room had a wonderful view off the beach. After reading the reviews I was not sure what to expect. It’s not a high end hotel with room service and all the other amenities, but I loved it. Great room for the money.Our room was nice and clean. You have you choice of two resturants on site. Take lots of cash for food. It can become very expensive. Housekeeping came eveyday. One word of advice bring your own beach towels. When we checked in they did not have any. The Elysian has a gift shop, spa and workout area(mini gym) on site. Very clean resort. Lots of water activities. Overall for what we paid it was a 10! I can’t wait to go back. Remember everything is on "island time"
