Location
The hotel has wonderful views and is perfectly situated for the old town and its superb restaurants, the tram which takes you round the perimeter of the city, and ease of getting to the train and bus station for visits to Santiago etc. We upgraded to a junior suite on arrival and it gave us much more room. As with most European hotels it does not offer tea and coffee making facilities, we were charged 5.45 euros for a pot of tea which was barely lukewarm, we bought a travelling kettle. The hotel has a tremendouse gym, tennis, swimming etc.

A visit to Santiago de Compestella is a must, and very easy to do on the bus or train

Best hotel in La Coruna.
This was our first visit to Galicia and we did not know what to expect. It turned out to be way beyond what we anticipated. The welcome at Hesperia Finisterre set us up immediately, everyone is most curteous - our lack of Spanish was matched by their lack of English - but that was not a problem. THe hotel is first class and well situated to explore the old town and the harbour area. A day trip by bus or train to Santiago de Compastela and the cathederal is a must. Eating out is one of the highlights; local cuisine at its very best, and not expensive. We will definitely be back.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
We opted for finding our own breakfast at the many local cafe’s, and at bakeries who will make up sandwiches etc on the spot.
