Brilliant Hotel for Central Barcelona!
We used this hotel for a pre and post cruise stay. Getting to the hotel couldn’t be easier from the airport, just took the Renfe train from the airport to Passeig De Gracia station, exited to Pau Claris exit and walked 50m down the street to the hotel. We arrived early 10:00, but our rooms were ready and we could go straight out to sightsee. Even on the post cruise day we arrived at 09:00 and they looked after our bags until the room was ready. Hotel rooms are modern with lots of wood panels and modern decor, spacious with either twin beds or a double bed, which were comfortable. Bathrooms designed in a very nice dark green marble and all the usual soaps etc. Free minibar was a bonus and includes soft drinks, water and a beer. Hotel staff were friendly and always ready to help. We left our luggage on both check out days to get extra sightseeing in as we had late flights.The Block of Discord is just around the corner and Casa Batllo well worth visiting. Didn’t eat the expensive breakfast in the hotel. Lots of restaurants near the hotel on Passeig de Gracia for Tapas and breakfast. No internet in the hotel, which was a disapointment. There is a a Internet Workcenter in a square (lefthandside) 4 blocks south of the hotel, where access can be bought to print boarding passes for a few euros. Passeig de Gracia is the major shopping throughfare and only 1 block from the hotel. Placa de Catalunya and La Ramblas about 4 -5 blocks from the hotel. Great Hotel for exploring Barcelona!
If you take the train from the airport then by a T10 ticket. This is a 10 journey ticket that can be used by multiple persons. It is also valid on the metro and buses. The train journey from the airport is 25 minutes to Passeig de Gracia on a direct line and for this hotel is better than the Airport shuttle bus which drops you at Placa de Catalunya. The metro is modern and gets you around all the main sites.

ideal location
great place to stay. one night we were awoken at 0200hrs by the incredible noise from the room next door and much running up and down on the wooden floors inside and outside the room. I let it go for 45 minutes thinking the neighbours would calm down but then had to ring reception. The response from the staff was immediate and within 2 minutes there was complete silence. I could hardly believe it. I would recommend this a a pleasant and peaceful place to stay.

Reasonably priced, clean, functional, well equipped and quiet. 10 to 15 mins walk from main attractions.
