Wonderful stay
We stayed at the Mill Houses in mid-July, and loved it. The location in Forostefani is perfect - 15 minutes walk to Fira, but away from the noise and crowds. Imerovigili is only 10 minutes away and is a great place to watch the sunset. Andreas made our stay great - he is a great asset to the hotel!
Traveller's tip on dining
Aktaion - a few steps down from the hotel on the calderimi on the way to Fira - was the best meal of our stay in Santorini.

Just beautiful
I loved staying in the Mill Houses! I was there for 2 nights, and although we stayed in the top part of the hotel, the room was big, spacious and very nice. When we return one day, I would like to stay in the bottom portion of the hotel, by the pool, where the nicer more expensive rooms are. Overall the hotel is perfectly located, with a beautiful view of the volcano and sunset, a nice pool, a hip cafe/restaurant, and lots of confort. Santorini is beautiful, and this is a perfect place to stay and enjoy such beautiful place.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Rent a small car to drive around the island, and see all it has to offer. The Red Beach is beautiful and a MUST SEE! I also would recommend renting for just a day one of the ATV 4-wheel to drive to all the beaches and its a great time to drive around on it... the only problem its at night, since its very dark at night, and it gets pretty cold also with the wind. So a car would be better to drive at night, especially if you are going to/from oia-phira.
