Nice Place
Very clean and quiet, nice bars within walking distance. Dont be fooled by the pool however, which is only a hot tub. Excellent staff, thanks again!

needs renovation
Location is convenient to farmers market, beach/harbor, shops, etc. Staff for the most part friendly and you can buy ferry tix directly at the hotel counter. But this hotel felt more like a motel. Shower curtains in room were non-functional and had black mildew at the bottom. So grossed out by the shower that we skipped taking showers after the 1st day. Dark wood decor of room and location of window made room dark even when it was bright and sunny outside. Overall, needs a major facelift.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
our favorite was taking the ferry to St. Margherita and the Rapallo tram to the peak.

5 days in Rapallo - nice town, shame about the hotel
Good position in town centre and close to rail and bus stations. From the first, this hotel looked disappointing. It is surrounded by taller buildings, none in a good state of maintenance, so all rooms have limited light and no view; the decor is rather dark as well, and the net curtains havent been white in a long time. We were offered 2 other rooms to transfer to, but neither were better. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the TV had around 200 channels. Breakfast was in a first floor room with the windows kept closed, making it rather warm. The attendant - waiter would be too grandiose a term -gestured that we not only had to help ourselves to food, but also take cutlery, napkin etc. The food range was limited but fresh. By the 4th day, the attendant grunted a buongiorno to us. Carpets were looking faded, and the rug in the entrance was wearing thin. I guess the thing that defined the lack of attention being given was that were was the remains of a broken dinner plate left on the roof adjoining the restaurant and visible from several bedrooms - either no-one had noticed or no-one cared.
