lovely hotel for grown ups
this was a spacious, clean hotel with a predominantly elderley clientele at this time of year. The staff were helpful, courteous and friendly and the food was simple but well cooked.
Traveller's tip on dining
get out for your evening meal early - we went out about 10pm and the streets were deserted and only a copule of pubs were open. Note that shops open at 10am and close 2pm Saturdays and are mostly closed all day Sunday. Prices for goods are same or more expensive than UK

Decidedly average with hard beds
This is a well located and fairly smart hotel, but is let down by the comfort of the beds which are bone hard. We booked a Queen room that was bigger, but the TV was iffy in operation and although we had lamps by our bed one had to get out of bed to go to the entrance door to put out the room lights. Bedroom door slamming noise morning and evening as the doors were heavy and almost impossible to close gently. Breakfast a very standard affair in a small area with queues most mornings. No room minibar. Nice, friendly, helpful staff. Gibraltar is a day trip kind of place, not really that much to see or do for a long weekend.
Traveller's tip on dining
Best restaurants around Queensway Quay. The new Ocean Village worth a look for food, bars and shopping.

A great place to stay
Hotel is very nice, rooms are well appointed. Only ate in the restaurant at breakfast but the food there was very good. Lovely pool area with a lvel off of this with sunbeds. Staff are very friendly and check in was one of the best check in experiences ever.
