Handy location for sightseeing
We stayed here for a week and found it ideal for our needs. It is out of the town centre, but only 10 mins drive down Beach Road to the V&A Waterfront cheap car parks and the town. There are also shuttle buses or taxis if you dont have a car. Bantry Bay is well placed for The Cape, Table Mountain, Camps Bay and other attractions. The Hotel was comfortable, service excellent and the breakfast buffet was mind-blowing.

Attractive holiday hotel
I stayed in two different rooms at this hotel: a sea-facing suite and a standard room. Both were very comfortable. Even the standard room had a sofa and small desk and a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and plates. The suite had a large sitting room and a stunning view over the pool area and out to the ocean. The pool is large and there are plenty of sunbeds. There is a comfortable indoor bar/lounge and service out to the pool area. There are outdoor tables and chairs where you can have breakfast or a drink in the evening. The hotel seems to be predominantly a holiday hotel but it was not over-run by huge tour groups or zillions of kids when I was there. The place has a nice relaxed feel which I found pleasant even though I had work to do. The hotel has a light and airy reception area and the whole hotel feels spacious. The hotel restaurant is fine - huge breakfast buffets and dinners either a la carte or buffet. its not for foodies, who will find better places to dine out in Cape Town, but is absolutely fine if you just want a quiet evening in the hotel. I really liked the hotel and at the prices I paid through Expedia it was great value by Cape Town standards. Beware of the charges for internet use - R100 per hour is exorbitant. The internet cafes nearby charge around R15 per hour. This is really the only criticism I would make of the hotel and in my view it makes the hotel less convenient for people on business. Despite that, I would definitely stay here again.

Pleasant chain hotel
We stayed in March which gave good value for moneyin a large clean room.Like most chain hotels it catered for coach parties of the elderly type which could lead to a rugby scrum at breakfast if your timing was wrong.Did not eat in restaurant as the food appeared expensive.Location was good being only 100 metres from the promenade in a safe area.
