Good hotel in convenient area

The Austria Trend Hotel Anatol is a good hotel for the money. The hotel is conveniently located just off of Maraihilferstrasse and is only a couple minutes walk from the nearest U-Bahn stop. While the area of the hotel is more of a shopping area, and not too close to tourist sights, the U-Bahn makes it easy to get anywhere in Vienna quickly.

Vienna is filled with museums, and if you are an art or music lover, it is a great city. One thing to be sure not to miss is the iconic Sacher Torte. The Sacher Hotel claims to have the original, but you can find them at most of the local pastry shops. Be sure to try to get to visit the crypt in Michaelerkirche (St. Michael’s Church). The eerie nature of the crypt with exposed bones and even some 200+ year old mummified bodies makes an interesting detour from the upscale culture of the rest of Vienna.

Not quite good enough

OK overall, but a little bit below par for a 4-star hotel. Plus points: efficient, friendly staff; good location; comfortable bed. Not so good: poor housekeeping (bathroom was not cleaned properly); smallish rooms. To be fair, it was a bit cheaper than other options and we probably got what we paid for.

Good bang for the buck

Just recently stayed at the Anatol for 3 nights. Its very proximal to a U-Bahn stop, was easy to get to from the airport via publc transportation, and was well-situated for seeing the whole city. The room was very simple but clean and was well worth the reasonable room rate.
