Disapponting
I decided to spend a bit extra and upgrade to a nicer hotel; I ended up wishing I had just gone with a cheaper option as the extra money just wasn’t worth it. I would rate this hotel as ’average’ at best. I had booked a double room but ended up with a twin as was told this was the only type of non-smoking room available. I checked in at 6:45pm, so it wasn’t exactly a late check-in. Neither the bedside lamp not the standard lamp was working and the TV remote only worked if you were within 1 metre of the TV. It was a cold night and the heating wasn’t working. Although the shower pressure was impressive, the shower door didn’t prevent the bathroom flooding. The breakfast was fine (the variety was certainly impressive) but the ’hot’ option went luke-warm pretty quickly without heated plates. Most disappointing of all was the service; certainly not a warm welcome. I had booked a ’Keys to Europe’ package which included a free glass of wine. I wasn’t automatically offered it and when I asked for it, was given a tatty photocopied bit of paper. My advice would be to save yourself a few bucks and just book a cheaper hotel as what is on offer, isn’t worth the extra money.

Great hotel
The hotel was in an excellent location close to the train station, it also had a great internet connection. The bed was the nicest we had slept in for a while.

Good refuge for the business traveller
Good place for the business traveller to stay although that’s not to say that it is not good for tourists too. Well taken care of by reception with a friendly helpful approach. The concierge proved a gem with a rapid (and I mean rapid) drive to the airport - the airport shuttle is a good facility for businessmen. Relaxing place for the evening with a fun bar and good choice of restaurant food or bar snacks - unlike many Lux hotels it had lots of English speaking TV channels too. Well located opposite the central station but my room was quiet & I had a good night’s sleep.
