good once building work completed
We have stayed here last year, enjoyed very much, this time there is a lot of building work going on (35 new rooms). We were given the room facing the garden after requesting it (view of building site was not very appealing). Breakfast & dinners are excellent. There is a shuttle to Capetown few times a day R85/trip. Beautiful view of Table mountains from the garden patio. Lot of conferences going on, a busy place. Cavendish Mall within walking distance
fitness, swimming pool & Spas, not far from Constantia

Delightful stay
Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff at this hotel. We were made to feel like film stars particularly with the use of the hotel’s own mercedes taxis to ferry us about. Would definately stay there again

Vineyard Hotel Newlands Cape Town March 2009
Excellent hotel. Don’t take room 114 - too noisy near central concourse. Originally requested upper room with balcony which was provided immediately when we asked to change after a few days. That room lovely (and quiet!) Excellent friendly service. Lovely relaxing feel in well kept gardens. Good variety of eating options. In a quiet area but very handy for main road network. Newlands cricket and rugby grounds 10 minutes walk away!
