Don Suites Eastgate
This was the best hotel for the price in this area. I would have paid more. Great room, good staff. I would not recommend the room service for meals, there are many restaurants in the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Great value for money
Suite was clean and comfortable, though showing some wear and tear, and was very cheap - great value for money, especially for families. Location is not great but no location is great in Johannesburg (see traveller’s tip). It’s not far from Chinatown and only twenty minutes’ drive from Johannesburg airport.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Johannesburg is like a down market Los Angeles: a vast urban sprawl with poor public transport. We spent a fortune on tours and taxis but it’s probably better to take or hire a car, to cover the vast distances between attractions, which are scattered all over and around Johannesburg.

Very impressive
The hotel suites are big, clean, and well equiped, but the reception staff is not friendly.
