Awful

Filthy bathroom with colonies of black moulds. Useless sound insulation. Wait-staff were untrained.

Thanks for taking the time to review your recent stay with us at Copthorne Aberdeen. I do regret that you did not enjoy your stay on this occasion. We do have several new members of our Food & Beverage team, so if you feel there are training issues I would appreciate it if you would contact the manager while you are still on site. With regards to the bathrooms, we are currently undertaking an in-house maintenance programme in order to upgrade parts of guest bedrooms which may have been neglected during the past few years when the hotel has been extremely busy. I appreciate that your feedback reflects an unpleasant stay with us but I do hope to welcome you back to the hotel in the future if you are in the area.

Patchy experience

On the plus side: rooms were good and clean; very nice bathrooms; front desk staff were pleasant; breakfast was very good with lots of options. On the minus side: lift was very small and took forever, plus they do not let guests use the stairs (I hope the management can change this policy!); room service took over 90 minutes after promising 15 minutes; car park was very small and tight and would not accommodate cars for all rooms, so we were told that we’d have to pay for nearby (expensive) parking if there was not room.

Traveller's tip on dining

Restaurant Foyer had really nice food in a new and airy modern atmosphere - highly recommended!

Very nice hotel in a quiet central location

We have enjoyed our stay very much. The room on the top floor was really nice despite the plant room at the end of the corridor. Breakfast included in a deal was good, we also liked the evening meal in a hotel restaurant. The location is spot on - minutes walk from the Union St and yet quiet and peaceful. Definitely would recommend
