County Hotel
This hotel is an older hotel with a great variance in rooms. The room I got was very small, with water stains on the wall and ceiling. The wall paper was starting to unstick and the furniture was a bit shabby. The staff was friendly and helpful but it did not overcome the shabby small room. I would not recommend this hotel.

cant wait for the refurbishment
stayed just one night in the county n to be honest it was only okay. The whole building is in dire need of refurbishment . Hope its going to be restored to its former glory ( we proberbly could’nt afford the tariff then) The good points: Its perfectly located, breakfast was plentiful and tasty, the staff were lovely and most importantly the bedding and towels were clean. Its just a shame that the little niggling things like shower not working(we had a bath) draughty windows, flickering light and very noisy fan in bathroom.To be fair though... we didnt complain as we were only staying the one night and maybe these things could have been rectified .
excellent wetherspoons pub opposite the hotel.we had lunch there as we frequent wetherspoon pubs whereever we happen to be and this is one of the better ones.

nice to be near railway station cafe on main road good food
