Cheap, near down town, works

We were going to a conference in downtown Pittsburgh. We could get to the convention center in less than 15 minutes so its location was great and we saved a lot of money compared to the downtown hotels - given we had to pay $10 a day for parking as well. You get what you pay for but this hotel was completely satisfactory for me.

Curry Room

My room smelled like curry when I entered it at 2:30 AM. It started smelling worse at 10 AM, because the huge gap between the bottom of the door and the door sill allowed the odor of curry to ruthlessly invade the room from the enormous restaurant exhaust fan on the exterior wall 10 feet away from the door. The odor is disgusting.

An Okay Place

There was quite a bit of work on the roads getting there, but once I arrived, it was a pretty pleasant place to stay. The people were very friendly, and they have an Indian restaurant on site.
