Great Family Getaway

GREAT childrens programs - I took my 14 year old granddaughter and her two best friends and they had a superb time. They were kept busy almost our entire stay which allowed me to also have a great time. This was my second getaway at this resort and I will definitely go again!

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

Take a Taxi to town for shopping. Change your money in Puerto Plata or the mall down the street from the resort - you will get an extra 5-7 pesos per dollar.

Not impressed

The hotel was OK, we were VIP and still.... the food was BAD they had nice salads and cheese.... the rest was just not good at all. The people at the hotel were very nice and that was the best part, if you have a few kids then you can take them they will enjoy the pool and the games, so you can do it for them... for adults and couples just not good.

great for children!

I have two children 9 and 11 years old. this hotel was fantastic for them, It has children clubs ( from 1 to 16 years old)most of the other "family hotels" only has a children club that is better for little ones. My children enjoyed the waves pool, the slides...they loved it . My daughter climbed all the way to the top of a 50 feet pole. they have great activities everyday ( you have to pay extra for the club activities). The hotel is old, the food was good, we had dinner at the oriental restaurant also it was nice.I will not go again if is only e and my husband but for the children it is just perfect!
