Great Hotel
Arrived in Lithuania for the first time late at night, speaking only English. Front desk was extremely pleasant and recommended restaurants. I loved my room. Leather sofa, comfortable beds and a beautiful bathroom with a big window. Nice bathroom fixtures and a big wooden ledge to store stuff on. The breakfast was very good - everything you would expect. Very convenient location in the heart of old town. Kind of cool decor, but an understated cool. After a side trip to Vilnius I returned to Kaunas for a final night. At my prior request, the front desk gave me my same room back again. All with a smile. It felt like home.
Traveller's tip on nightlife
There is a little beer garden on the bank of one of the rivers only a few blocks from the hotel. Great for a little respite.

Well-located hotel
Great hotel located just off main street and a few steps from the square. Nice big room with TV and large bathroom. Good restaurant though menu a little small - food I ate was nice and tasty. Staff very helpful. Ideal location for old town, castle and easy to get to shopping mall and main station.
All the bars and restaurants on Vilnius Street have excellent food and beer.
