Good value hotel
Stayed for 3 nights in Sept.09. Only a short walk from Paddington Station and within easy walking distance of Hyde Park/Oxford Street. Having read previous reviews for this hotel, can only agree that the rooms are very small. Unless one person is standing in the shower, the bathroom is not big enough for two people at the same time. The bathroom door had full length opaque glass right next to the loo, if you are at all modest, you might find this off putting. There are plenty of places to eat within a short distance of the hotel, we tried the Indian restaurant recommended by a previous reviewer, I think it was called the Indian Spice, excellent meal and very good value. One niggle I had with the hotel was that they switched off the air conditioning at 11pm each night which meant that, as the weather was quite warm, the room became too hot.

People friendly, awesom Location all you will need for a short stay! :)
The hotel is very nicely located a couple of blocks from the paddington Underground station as well as the Heathrow express station that links the airport to the city center. Other than that the staff are very helpful exp the door guys who help bring your stuff in very helpful. the rooms or rather the room i had was really small but having travelled alone it was just right for me all i needed was in the room except for a frigde and microwave lol... other wise it was a great stay nearbuy resturants and surveniours shops. I really reccommen this hotel for anyone coming in and out for a short stay esp on bizness it isnt really a honeymoon resort kinda place but it does the trick for those of us who want to come into london spend as much time outdoors and come back to bed. If you can over look the size of the rooms you will enjoy your stay 4sure !!!! all in all i loved it.

Wet sheet and bad smell
On the surface this is a nice hotel, well decorated and nicely laid out. However, my room on the basement floor smelled damp and, while I ignored that initially, when I went to go to bed, I discovered the bedsheet was actually wet. I got a new sheet but also discovered the window wouldnt open so air couldnt flow. I asked for a new room in the morning and the hotel obliged with a 1st floor room which was better, although quite stuffy and with a window which did open but into the hotel lobby as opposed to outside. I wont go back.
If you must stay here, dont accept a room on the basement floor.
