We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, although the room itself was not up to 4* standard i.e mould in the bathroom, stains on the carpets etc. I was suprised at this, as it is a Hilton Hotel. The drink prices at the bar were to expensive, no need for this. I feel they charged 4* prices but we were not offered a 4* service.
Traveller's tip on shopping
Oxford is only a 15 min drive away,excellent shopping facilities. Newbury town centre is only a 5 min drive and is ok for your basic high street shops.

Good Hotel for overnight stay
Good location to break our journey South overnight. One little niggle was that Breakfast was not included and had to be paid for as an extra.

Nice friendly staff
I was impressed with the politeness and friendliness of all the staff, from hotel check in to maid service.

Follow the directions on which ever search engine you have used to get there asotherwise you won’t find it, except by accident. Also watch out for ending up at the other Hilton in Newbury, as we did!
