Very helpful staff
Good location just 15 minutes walk into town (or easy access to buses on the main road). The hotel is set down a drive in pleasant surroundings with fields with horses outside my window. Every member of staff that I spoke to was very helpful, including requests for assistance or information. This stay was for business but planning to stay next time for a weekend leisure trip.

Quite Disappointed - dont think it should be 4 star
I thought we had got a good deal with this hotel, thinking it was a 4star as sold. However, it really isnt. It seems like nothing has been done to it since it was built, presumably in the 80s, particularly in the bedrooms. The position is only a 15 minute walk from the city centre, but dont expect to be able to dine out locally (just a few drab unwelcoming local pubs). We made the mistake of arriving late and opting to eat in the hotel restaurant, which was incredibly over-priced and we both left feeling very hungry! (Strange, but true trivia: if you have two courses, they charge you 5p more than the actual sum of 2 courses if charged separately!)
Dont have breakfast or dinner in the hotel. Have breakfast at Cafe Loco about 10 mins walk on the road into the city. For dinner, try Gees in Banbury Road.

Good facilities close to town
Only stopped one night but enjoyed stay. Reasonable sized and clean rooms, not ultra modern but comfortable. Room included safe, trouser press, iron etc. Sound from television piped through to bathroom. Swimming pool good, right temperature and big enough for decent swim. Breakfast was good value as we had a voucher for 25% off, buffet style plenty of choice and hot food was kept hot. Not far to walk into City centre, 15 - 20 mins, taxi approx £6 but also on main bus route.
