Service Needs Improvement

Swiss Garden is quite a nice hotel but could be better! Staff are polite and easy going, Service is very good if you can get it. The restaurant by the pool is very difficult to get peoples attention and very frustrating. I was brought the incorrect order on numerous occasions. The beach is quite dirty and a simple daily clean up would do wonders!!! And its easy to do. The hotel could do w/ some renovations as it is very dark in areas when you come out of the lift...the double doors always seem to jam and the lifts are slllooooowww. Rooms are very nice especially on the sea view side. I have stayed many times and would stay again because it is convenient for work. Otherwise I would stay at the Kuantan Hyatt as the beach and pools are nicer!

lovely hotel we will go back

Attractive hotel on lovely unspoiled beach. Beautiful pool and children play area. Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner available. Spa services very nice. Water sports available - we did ’banana boat’ which was fun. we are expats and will definitely go back for more weekends.

Traveller's tip on dining

pak su restaurant south about 6km. best seafood we have had in asia, and we live here!

Location’s it’s main drawback

the hotel is large and modern and most of the rooms face the road or the sea. We took a family room only to be told, on arrival, that none of these face the sea. We overlooked the jungle and a rubbish collection point until we asked for a move. The room was cramped, and its dark wood furniture showed signs of age. Oddly the ’child’s’ room was the main one, so we had to pass through it to the compact bathroom! But the worst drawback is the hotel is out in the wilds, a 25 minute free mini-bus ride from Kautan. The sea was rough. The red flag flew both days we were there (January), but the water was so murky with sand(?) it held no attraction. The staff were wonderful.
