Okay for an overnight business stay, not sure about any longer.
The hotel itself is very charming, beautiful views over the lough, and well decorated inside. The reception staff were very friendly, and the room was comfortable (although a lot of the decor was tired). The plumbing, however, was a nightmare. The noise of the toilet, the shower, the sink not only in the room I was staying in, but next door as well, was unbelievable, and since the guests in the room next door had an early morning, there was no hope of a lie in for me due to the loud rumbling and squealing from the pipes. The breakfast and the morning service staff were all very good, but Im not sure that any more than one night with the noise would be bearable. Expedia lists this as a 4* hotel on their site - its not, its 3* (so bear this in mind when making your booking)
Traveller's tip for business travellers
Theres a train station in the village which links into Limerick, making this a viable alternative to the town centre hotels.
