Would not stay again
Rooms very small, and there was a musty smell in the hotel. The bathrooms had been renavated and were very nice. The pool area was also very nice. The location was good for going north or south of Rapid City. Front Desk could not recommend restaruants, without getting there free appetizers for us, and then a kickback for them.

In Centre of Rapid City
We were pleased we chose this hotel, as the majority of other hotels listed were very isolated from the main town. Posiiton of this one was fine, with a large Safeway at the back and a Burger King next door. Swimming Pool was large and clean, towels, & chairs provided. Our room was very spacious, and cleaned well. However, really if you are fussy the hotel does need a redecoration throughout. Mount Rushmore was a few miles away. Breakfast was ample, with a good selection of food. Reception staff were helpful.
If you are doing a trip through the Wild West, Rapid City is a good place to start you holiday. There are so many things to do, within a few miles, incl Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Badlands, all with the backdrop of the Black Hills of Dakota. Even a trip to Nebraska is not that far away. Have a break here and then go onto Wyoming, and Montana, visiting Yellowstone National Park, etc. You will never be without spectacular scenery, or things to see and do.
