Good value for money
The location and views were superb, the hotel was reasonably comfortable and I would go there again as it represented excellent value for money.
Wed read other reviews saying the rooms were hot but as we were going at the very end of Sept I didnt think it would affect us. I was wrong! The windows only open a tiny amount at the bottom and its impossible to get any breeze in so take a fan with you.

You get what you pay for
The Cliffside isnt the Ritz but then you get what you pay for. Our room had a seaview and was spotlessly clean although the decor was a little tired. The staff were friendly and efficient. The location of the hotel is very good, overlooking the beach and only a short walk from the centre of town. The dinner menu is varied and good value and breakfast is more than adequate. Guests can use the facilities of the 2 sister hotels next door so an indoor pool, evening entertainment, cocktail lounge and 2 further restaurants are available. The only downside is that on-site parking can be a problem as the car park is small but there is plenty of pay and display parking opposite the hotel. My daughter and I enjoyed our seaside break and would happily return to this hotel.
Do pay extra for a seaview room (or try for a free upgrade if youre cheeky!)

Only if you have a dog
We stayed here as it was the only place in Bournemouth which would allow us to bring our dog. So if youre looking for just that then this place is great. However, the rooms were extremely hot and stuffy without AC an good ventilation. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant which was a huge mistake as everything was horribly prepared. The good news is that the service was very friendly and helpful.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Only stay here if you need a place that will accept your dog.
