not impressed
Not was what was expected. Not a good breakfast. Same plan food everyday. Maintenance problems. Was made out to be such a fantastic hotel and was not acheived.

Could have been better
Welcome ok, but service minimum : "hi, passeport please, here is your key" Staff don’t look to enjoy much their job. I had 2 big suitcases to bring at the 2nd floor but the elevator was out of order , probably due to its age. The bedroom was clean, with a nice view on the marina. I wasn’t amazed with the breakfast, bagels, cereals, coffee and orange juice, but nice terrace to have it. The pool was quite cold, avoid to go in the morning if you don’t want to swim with the insects. The staff gave me a 10% off voucher to go to the restaurant Coconut just by the hotel, but the noise and the smell of beer made me go to the Calypso restaurant about 1 mile away. The staff there was very friendly and the food very good. If you prefer to eat fast food there are a few restaurants (Wendys, Dennys,...) just accross the main road at 10mn walk from the hotel. To resume, this hotel is well located if you came here to fish or dive, but if not, 1 night is enough, especially if your final destination is Key West. This hotel is getting old and doesn’t deserve more than 2 stars, but for the price, you cannot expect much better.

place is falling apart
Hotel with a great location but.... the place is really run down. If you like the marina area there are other options in the same basin. Why am I critical? Stayed two days, both days around 9-10 AM no water, guess that is why its on the water. Ice machine very slow to work, found out why when a big piece of the auger came out in by ice bucket. Elevator button broke so you couldn’t get to the first floor, try getting the luggage cart down the stairs. Only stayed two days, wonder what happened the next day. Staff just shrugged their shoulders when told of my experience. Other reviews are right on about the very nice rest./bar next door, on the marina but very expensive for the food you get. Also noticed the place is full for the winter season, hope they have better luck. Again- Great Location.
