Recommandable hotel
The location of the hotel is good, not in the old center of Nice but walking distance to all nice restaurants and center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pictures of the hotel on the internet and the reality of our room did not match (we stayed in a superior room), which was a dissapointment, the rooms need a renovation (our room at least) and could be arranged to be more comfortable given the price paid.

Good location, poor quality rooms
As a location for seeing Nice this hotel is hard to beat and provided you only want a bed for the night then you could enjoy your trip from this hotel. If you like to spend a bit of time in a quality hotel with comfortable surroundings you need to look elsewhere. The rooms are small and in need of work in some areas. The staff are friendly and speak English if your French isn’t so good. Personally I’ll be looking elsewhere next time.

NOT ENOUGH JAZZ
Lovely Belle Epoque building with 30s art deco furnishings with beautiful b/w jazz photos but no info about the performers or photographers. At breakfast horrible Muzak, no jazz !
Take a good look at the evocative jazz photos up and down the stairs (WALK!) - but it’s a shame they don’t credit the performers or photographers
