Location, location, location
We booked the cheapest room....no view, kinda small, but adequate for the amount of time we were in it and close-in parking. Loved the refrigerator and microwave. We walked almost everywhere for eating, hiking, shopping. I wouldn’t recommend the very depressing continental breakfast; many wonderful breakfast places...splurge.

Inexpensive, clean and within walking distance of downtown. I would definitely stay again.

Location, location!
The Rabbit Ears is a reasonable quality motel with an excellent location. Directly behind the parking lot is a park that leads to the Yampa River, a hot spring to splash around in, and a hike/bike path. Go the opposite direction, and you are in the heart of downtown Steamboat Springs. The rooms are small (but they do have a small closet), and fairly newly remodeled- you can tell from the bathroom and furniture. Our queen bed seemed smaller than most queen beds, and it was not a plush mattress (and maybe not part of the remodel!). Breakfast had a few cereal options, toast/English muffins and juice & coffee- just fine for a quick bite.
