Fine for travelers with cars
The Everglades is a reasonably upscale hotel that’s about a 10-minute drive from the center of Derry. With a car, it’s not an inconvenient place to stay, although you can’t walk to anything. Without a car, staying there would be a problem. The buffet breakfast was excellent but the hotel and I had a disagreement about whether it was included in my room rate. At check-in, I was told it was included; at check-out, I was told it wasn’t. There are two hotels in or near the center of Derry, but driving to and from them, and parking near by, would be a problem. There are convenient multi-story parking garages adjoining the Foyleside shopping center which abuts the old city walls, which is fine if you’re prepared to spend $7 or more to park for the day. On balance, the Everglades is a good choice and reasonable value for money.

Good base for Derry city and Donegal
The room was comfortable & clean. Found the bar staff disinterested-took 10 minutes to get a drink on Friday night when there were only about 10 people in the bar & 3 barpeople!!!! There was a wedding both days which definitely was the staff’s priority. Only £4 for taxi into Derry city so while a bit out of the city it’s easliy accessible.

Nice Hotel, Out of Town
The hotel was nice, our room faced the street which was fine except when window was open. It was a little outside of town, a car was very helpful.
