Good place to stay
We chose East Horsley because it is close to RHS Wisley and gives good access by train to West London (Hampton Court) etc. This hotel was very comfortable, and the outstanding feature was the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. The food was pretty good also.

Not impressed
I arrived at the hotel at 11.am.I had travelled from Ireland with several family members,to attend a family wedding ,the reception of which was being held in this hotel.We needed to get ready for the wedding,but we were told that there was a charge of £10 for checking into our rooms before 2pm.We felt that this charge was unreasonable,as we were bringing a lot of business to the hotel.After some consideration,the manager made our rooms available without the £10 charge.The hotel itself was clean and comfortable.However ,the staff need to improve in terms of friendliness and overall hospitality.Guests should be made to feel welcome,not as in this case,like an annoyance.
