RELAXATION
If what you want out of your vacation is rest and relaxation...then this is the hotel to be. We got the Ocean Front Suite room and it was totally worth the splurge. The hotel staff was wonderful and funny and very accommodating. The hotel is not close to the city area but only a 10 min cab ride or a adventurous 20min bus ride. People on the island are so friendly. Nothing beats waking up to the beautiful skies and the sights and sounds of the waves.

Nice and Relaxing
Although it took us an hour and fifteen minutes to find the hotel the second night (its in a residential neighborhood with not many signs...and we get lost a lot) we really liked the SilverPoint. It isnt convenient to restaurants or nightlife but you need a car to really see Barbados anyhow....and we prefer quiet over parties. If you arent like us...then I would stay elsewhere. Plus, the food at the restaurant was pretty delicious so we ate there a couple of times. The beach is small but nice...but on most days isnt very safe for swimming except for the strongest of swimmers. But its great for kite surfing or just watching it. I would ask for a room not next to the main road and the guard shack....and the wifi is spotty in many spots. But overall a lovely place and Tamara can mix a mean drink!
We went in October and Barbados was uncrowded and quiet....except for the Friday night Oistens Fish Fry which was fantastic.
