Very happy with this hotel

Loved this hotel , when i booked it i mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and to our surprise they left us a gift basket full of wine, fruit and sweets, what a lovely touch ! The room was very nice , very clean , even had a fridge. Also had tea and coffee making fascillities which wasnt mentioned in the hotel details.Oh a hairdryer too . Its in a great location not far from some really nice bars and restaurants, across the street is an off licence where we bought lots of that nice cherry vodka. The breakfast was good, a nice variety of foods to suit all, the pickled gourds were fab. Would definately stay here again !!

Not Impressed

The Hotel was OK but I would not recommend anyone stay here if there is a wedding /function on(there was a wddding on until 4am on both the friday and saturday we stayed) If you do stay here ensure you are NOT on the mezzine level rooms as you will hear the music very load and very clear.

THIS IS A HOTEL TO AVOID!

For the first day we were placed in a first floor room, with tiny windows next to the ceiling (just like a basement); the room was very dark and it had the wrong type of beds (we wanted a double and not two singles). The breakfast room was nearby and the room was noisy in the mornings, making it difficult to sleep. We were transferred to another room on the third floor for the remaining period of our stay; the room was even less smart and the bathroom older and dated, but just about ok (we had to be very careful with the shower screen, as it was damaged!), although this time it had a balcony and plenty of light, which was good. The hotel had wedding receptions on Friday and Satirday nights, with very loud music, and the noise travelled up to our room in the third floor! Only a few hours after the music ended, loud noise from building works (even on a Saturday!) would also wake us up. As a result of this, we were tired during our stay in the city and were not able to enjoy what it has to offer. This hotel was extremely disappointing and I would recommend to any one that it is avoided at all cost!!
