NOT IMPRESSED
Didnt care for the quality of the hotel, the pool was very dirty, the room was dirty as well, Wasnt even vaccumed. The front desk was not too helpful and certain people were somewhat rude. I would never return to this hotel. Nothing about it appealed to me or my friend and i dont suggest staying here. I expected a lot more.

Terrible Hotel
Because of my experience with this particular Radisson, I will NEVER book with this chain again. First of all, it was very far from everything. It was located in a remote are of the city. The front desk was incompetent. First, the keys did not work. When it finally did, the room was occupied. The coffee maker did not work. When you called for a wake up call there was no answer. In this case, you truly got what you paid for. Actually, you got less.

Radisson Europa, San Jose, Costa Rica
If you dont speak Spanish, be sure your cab driver speaks English so he understands where you are going, because there is another Europa Hotel in San Jose. You probably dont want to stay (or even go) there! This hotel is well kept, on the smaller side, with a wonderfully friendly and helpful staff of Costa Ricans, who are one of the most pleasant peoples I have yet encountered on the planet. The lobby bar is great, with food and music most nights. The restaurant is also good -- the breakfast buffet is very nice. There is construction under way now (Feb 08), and the banging starts at 7:30 sharp, 7 days a week. It is directly adjacent to the room wing, so dont expect peace and quiet, either for sleeping in or napping during the day. The rooms are nice, with adequate bathrooms (mine had a shower with the best water pressure Ive ever experienced!). There is a nice, smaller pool. The concierge and lobby staff are great; they will direct you and suggest restaurants, excursions, stores, etc. The "Tourista" drivers serving the hotel are specially trained, speak a bit of English, and are also very good, and quite inexpensive relative to the US. The hotel is about a mile from the City Centro, and can be walked by more adventuresome travelers, but one passes through some seedy neighborhoods and there is an unbelievable amount of congestion (vehicles, people, carts, etc.) on the streets in San Jose, which is a crowded, rapidly-growing city.
