a good place to stay in beirut
a good hotel, great service and a 10 minute walk from downtown. a taxi from the airport will cost around USD22, whereas the hotel car is USD40.They do have a free shuttle but only at certain times. you no longer need to pay for a visa on arrival..its free for 30 days.
Traveller's tip on dining
Some good restaurants downtown...try la posta. We were recommended to go to Julia’s but found the service appalling and food very average.There are many better places to go to. For good friendly bars try ’hole in the wall’.
