Not in the best location for touring the city
The hotel was acceptable but a bit modern for our tastes. We had a problem with our heater blowing the circuit breaker which we had to call maintance on once then I reset it 6 more times after I saw how to do it. There were decent restaurants with in walking distance and a wonderful internet coffee shop for breakfast and lunch on the corner of the hotel . The hotel is away from the main upper city where all the history and shops are which we would have prefered being close to. Overall the hotel was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly

Stylish Comfortable Hotel
Loved this hotel - ten to fifteen minutes from the old city but in an up and coming area with good restaurants and cafes including one just outside hotel which does excellent breakfasts. Nice room to work in or for leisure. Handy for University of Quebec and good bus service to Laval University from close by. Stayed there for six days and then another day. Will certainly go back.

Smell the coffee and enjoy the maple syrup fudge
What a lucky find this hotel is! This is a modern hotel with minimalist design - yet so stylish. Everything has been done to make the stay enjoyable. Reception staff are warm and welcoming and this is reflected by all staff. Nothing is too much trouble. There is free good quality freshly ground coffee, plus tea and internet access in the foyer. Our room was large, comforable and very clean. The swimming pool is a very good size and the gym looked good too. It’s a good location, granted it’s an uphill walk to the main old centre - but it is manageable. There are more reasonable eating places nearby. Would stay here everytime if in Quebec - other hotels could learn a lot from Hotel Pur.
Many nearby restaurants offer ’BYO’ and no corkage charge - so you can drink a decent bottle for much less than normal restaurant prices.
