clean rooms, uncomfortable beds... great location
The hotel is a 5 minute drive to downtown Daytona, and is directly on the water. They have there own private balconies, but the doors (from all of the seawater) are really hard to open and close without slamming them. The room itself was very clean, except the carpet seemed a little dirty, but only because of people coming to and from the beach, not just from shear neglect. The bed, however, was very uncomfortable and small. Cause we were stuck with 2 doubles when we checked-in, we tried both beds... neither let us sleep, we were tossing and turning all night. The location is great, the pool over looks the ocean (as does your balcony), the price is fantastic.... if they could just get some better beds, this place would be a in my tops for value versus what you get in this area.

Better than expected
One female clerk was not friendly (refused to give us our room unless she can copy of the our passports, took time to convince her that she has no right to do so). The rest of the staff was very helpful. Breakfast is simple. Room looks much better than expected. Corridors are not nice. Pool and beach is Ok. For the price we paid it was a good value, we recommend it.

Great location, but very dirty
We loved the proximity of the beach. The pool and balcony overlooks the ocean. However, mold and mildew was everywhere and the bathroom needed major maintenance work done. Too bad, because it could be a wonderful small hotel with some elbow grease.
