Good value fro money and well placed for Athens & south beaches
The previous critical reviewers should emember that this is a mid priced hotel and not a US style "resort" hotel which locally costs 3x. Rooms a little tired but extreamly clean and comfortable with decent air-con. Nice pool with plenty of seating, pool bar and terrace. Standard continental type breakfast, juices, fruit, eggs, bacon, cereals and cold cuts/cheese etc. Free security boxs behind main desk. 5 min walk to town centre with great shops and dozens of bars/resturants. Admittedly close to 3 lane dual carriageway but where in the Athens area is there not a lot of constant traffic?) noise nowhere near as bad as other reviewers claim, decent air con means you dont need to sleep with the windows open anyway. Cicadas make more constant noise and there everywhere. No problem crossing the road, just wait for the traffic lights in both directions to stop the traffic every couple of minutes!! Free Wi-Fi in room computers in lobby if you dont travel with your own (euro 5 p/h) free aiport pick up or to bus stop oppersite hotel(X6 service from Airport to Athens - bus stop "Glyfada 5" @ e3,20 each) also 2 minutes walk from new tram into central Athens, (1 euro) Every member of staff we saw over a 5 day visit was unfailingly polite, helpful, friendly and efficient. Local beaches not great but sea is very clean, never any shorage of people on them so cant be too bad! So good value for money and locaton, excellent access to city centre.
Traveller's tip on dining
Try Reginis BBQ oppersite the "Everest" sandich bar and Haggen Dazs for excellent food and the best value for money in town all the locals seem to eat there as well

nice amenities, so-so room
When looking up this hotel, I was very excited about it. When we arrived, the lobby was very nice and remodeled and the pool was great. However, it was not connected to a beach - you have do walk down the block and across the street to get to the beach. Also, the actually rooms were less than clean. The bathrooms were not cleaned before we arrived or during our stay. The carpet had some strange stains and the room had a strange smell when we walked in. The plus side to this, though, is that the outside location and amenities make you want to be out of your room most of the time anyway.
