Would use again
This hotel had a great location and a nice restaurant attatched. The staff could have been friendlier and the rooms a little cleaner but all in all we just need a place to rest our heads while we were going to Universal and it did the trick.
Traveller's tip on shopping
Turn right out of the hotel for foot shopping I saw the mall billboards to the left and headed in that direction....not much that way but a big flea market

Good Choice
Not real fancy, not a new hotel, but a great value for the money. Short drive to Universal. We just needed a place to sleep & shower for one night. I was a little skeptical because of the price, but because of the reviews of previous guests, I chose Monumental Movieland Hotel over better-known hotel chains. My family (in-laws!) was very happy with my choice. It turned out that we didn’t stay at Universal all day & took advantage of the pool. The tile coping could use a little cleaning, but it was acceptable. The clean towel bin wasn’t identified, so I went to the desk to request towels. It took a few minutes for the towels to arrive & then I felt foolish for not looking in the bin. Would definitely go back.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
See if you can check in as early as possible, before going to the parks, to check out everything in your room, shower, A/C, TV, etc. That way if there is a problem with it, you can switch rooms before they’re all filled up or it’s late & everyone is tired & cranky!!

Orlandos most well placed cheap hotel
Monumental Movieland is a very basic hotel but is ideally located. You can walk to Universal. Wet and wild is straight across the road. The I ride stops outside the hotel and that can take you to Seaworld, Aquatica and Prime Outlets. Close by are KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Ponderosa and many more eateries. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone going to orlando.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
If you havent got a car, purchase a 5,7 or 14 day I ride ticket and this will save you lots of money during your holiday, otherwise it is $1.25 each time you get on the I Ride.
