Not good at all

At first I was very pleased as I was upgraded upon check in. However, when I got in the room, there were marks down the wall, chips on the bath, the shower went hot and cold and the TV was difficult to use. The cleaner nearly walked in on me naked, despite me shouting to her several times that it was not a good time for her to clean the room. The cleaner also did not provide clean spoons-it was evident she had just wiped them with a cloth as there were marks from the previous use on them. Quite disgusting. The hotel was 45mins walk to Circular Quay, so not very central at all, so not quite what I expected. I wouldn’t stay there again. It was however very easy to order a ride to the airport through the hotel.

There is a great cheap, large and very easily accessible internet cafe across the road from the hotel.

centrally located

the hotel was as advertised, no complaints on the level of service and cleanliness. it had a good location for getting around town as across the street from the train station and buses stopped right by hotel plus you could walk to alot of attractions. the only negatives would be the neighborhood had alot of fast food and asian restaurants and they also charge too much for internet access

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

we did find a few places close by to eat. i would recommend this one vietnamese restaurant called pho at saigon on quay street and tonys italian cuisine at 789 george st. we also used activity tours for 2 tours to the blue mtns and hunter valley wine tour. they were cheaper than the other tours and seemed more personalized

Handy spot, great concierge service

Nice hotel located very near the central train station [an easy two block walk if you’ve packed light], lots of good restaurants nearby. The concierge service was excellent, helping us with directions, recommendations, checking in for flights, etc.
