Super 8 Motel Village Calgary

Good deal and location for budget travelers

Aside from issues with one of the key cards, we were very satisfied with our stay here. We usually stay away from the higher-priced hotels and this budget hotel was just fine. We flew in for the weekend and found we could take the bus from Bay 20 at the airport to the C-Train, then switch downtown to the train to Banff Trail, which is walking distance to this and many other hotels. We bought day passes for the C-Train, which were conveniently sold at mini markets, and had no problem getting around the downtown area.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

The public transit was great, but be sure you have plenty of change if buying a ticket at the platform, as the machines only take exact change. We found some ATMs accepted Mastercard debit, but not Visa debit. We also found several shops surprisingly accepted U.S. dollars.

Cheap, clean motel

I normally stay in downtown Calgary, but every place was booked so I chose Super 8 for the location. Great place to stay! The Staff was very helpful, pleasant and accommodating while the room was comfortable and clean. I will definitely return and save my money for extra shopping!

Traveller's tip on dining

There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Try Nick’s Steakhouse & Pub. The steak was awesome! If you miss the free continental breakfast at the motel, Denny’s is almost next door.

very difficult to get there

Needed to get more detail direction to this hotel. I had to ask other people how to get to the service road where Super 8 was.
