OUTSTANDING HOTEL

I REALLY ENJOYED MY STAY AT DAYS INN IN MONROEVILLE, AL. THE RECEPTIONIST ALLOWED ME TO CHECK IN EARLY. THAT WAS A PLUS BECAUSE I NEEDED TO BE AT A FAMILY REUNION AT 1:OO PM. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND WORTH THE MONEY THAT I PAID. IT WAS EQUIPPED WITH A MICROWAVE, REFRIGERATOR,IRON,IRONING BOARD AND HAIR DRYER.

STAY AWAY

Horrible, Horrible experience. We booked this hotel as a stopping point on our way back to New Orleans after evacuating for hurricane Gustav. All that we hoped for was a decent nights sleep - what we got couldn’t have been farther. We were awoken around 1 am by the loudest cricket I have ever heard in my entire life. After much searching, we deemed that the cricket was located in our, get this, air conditioning unit. Not the inside section, but the part located out doors. So, I go to the front desk to see if I can get any help with the situation. The person there, who turns out to be the GENERAL MANAGER, was no help what so ever. In fact, he couldn’t have been less helpful if he had tried. The guy takes about 10 minutes to come to the window and then proceeds to tell me how there’s nothing he can do because it’s "natures fault." I asked if he could change our room - there were all of 7 cars in the parking lot - and the gentleman tells me every single room is booked. To prove him wrong I call the hotel’s booking line and am offered any room of my choice. The gm’s response is that his hotel doesn’t abide by what they say. So I go back to my room. I returned to the front desk around 2 am, absolutely livid and demanded he do something. Eventually he finds bug spray, brings it to our room, and douses the air conditioning unit. This, in turn, makes our room wreak of bug spray. Longest night of our lives. STAY AWAY
