Excellent service
I can only recommend this hotel. Professional, corteous and freindly staff always make you feel welcome, excellent food and convenient location.
If travelling independently, get to the Taj Mahal early - be prepared to wait some time in a queue to buy your entrance tickets. There is no reason for this process to take so long, but once you are in - the monument itself will simply take your breath away. Take your time and explore the grounds.

Very tastefully decorated and beutifully landscaped hotel with wonderfully hospitable staff and excellent service all round.

Nice little hotel
I went with my wife for 5 days of relaxation in the middle of summer. The hotel was pretty empty (we like it that way). The hotel is a small one and thus you get personalized service. The prices were reasonable except for alcohol. Alcohol is pricier than US (may be not other places). The hotel was going through some renovation is some sections. So, there was some noise during the day but nothing too bad. The TV service is pretty bad with very few channels. There were channels for non-Indians which I am sure the foreigners will love. Excellent service, clean hotel, nice staff. Definitely will return there again.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
Take a portable DVD player. The room did not have it. The hotel is small so if you are planning to spend lots of time inside, bring some board games or reading material. The swimming pool was nice. Make sure you bring your swim trunks.
