Needs A new feel
The hotel is a nice place to stay, but it is a bit outside of Melbourne. There are trams that run constantly, but if you want to just walk around nothing is near it, not many places to eat either. I was told breakfast was included, it was not...

A little modernisation required
We arrived in Melbourne tired after a hectic week in Sydney. The hotel appearance from the outside was a little different from how i remember the picture. However once inside, we were welcomed by helpful friendly staff. The room was clean and well presented but looked as though it was due for an refurbish. Apart from that, everything else about the stay was good. We didnt eat in the restaurant as we were visiting family.
Use the free tourist bus and tram services. It helped us see the city in a short time and we could decide where we wanted to go back to.

Good hotel in a convenient location
This is a good modern hotel, about halfway between central Melbourne and St Kilda beach. There isn’t all that much in the immediate vicinity except offices and blocks of flats, but it’s easy to get to more interesting places within a short tram ride.
Traveller's tip on dining
There’s an Italian restaurant just down the road called Il Locale. Apart from the food, which is a high standard, on the evening when we were there the waiter sang some operatic numbers and did it REALLY well. It added an extra something, as we were there on our honeymoon.
