this place is disgusting. i moved to another hotel rather than spend one night here. to be avoided.

Great location
Despite the name, the Hotel France-Louvre is actually by the Hotel de Ville rather than the Louvre itself, but nonetheless a great location - easy walking distance from the Quartier latin, Pompidou, Marais, and, of course, the Louvre. Rooms are small, as they are everywhere in Paris, but clean and well maintained. Tiny elevator. Good to have free wifi, even if it was somewhat intermittent. Lots of hot water and a good shower. Extra charges very reasonable (a local phone call at 60cents and a coke from the mini-fridge at 2.50), although breakfast at 12.50 euros seemed too much, so I ate elsewhere each day. Have to be buzzed into the small front lobby, but there’s someone at reception 24hours/day. Spent five nights there and would go back again.

Not impressed
Good location. Room and bathrooom very small and poor value for money. Bathroom poorly designed and fitted out.
