Charming hotel with very warm service
This is a slightly older style hotel than you would expect for the price, but the service is professional and genuinely warm. The location also means that it is ideal for the temples.
Artisans d’Angkor - there is a branch in town and also a huge shop at the airport. Excellent quality products at reasonable prices and unlike a lot of the other shops in town, the money you spend here really does help the local people.

Superb stay in Siem Reap
Not as glitzy as some of the new hotels in town, but lovely and comfortable with excellent service. The large swimming pool is surrounded by wonderful plantings, making you feel you are in a peaceful, tropical garden.

Great modern twist on old hotel
Great - love it - except.... WHY do top end hotels insist on charging for internet!!??? I know this hotel has tradition and famous guests since 1920’s but get real - it is know the 21st century and we shouldn’t be paying for access to public information. I know you put in the equipment, but you also put in the pipes and we didn’t pay for water. Arggghhhhh
