Met our needs. Hotel could use a little updating in the hallways.
Nice location downtown. Clean but the hallways could be updated. Doesn’t have the latest security entry technology.

Perfect for what it is
Before we left I read the comments for this hotel and I pretty much knew exactly what to expect. There are certain people that go to the Caribbean expecting a certain level of comfort(read luxury) that is not offered by this specific place, that is true. However, the hotel is extremely good for what it is. The location is more than perfect, the rooms are very, very clean, the staff is helpful, they have a shuttle to the beach(that is practically free), a place to rent a car from in the hotel lobby, the free breakfast is very good and they serve it on their terrace overlooking Otrobanda and the ocean. The food in the restaurant is pretty decent too. The terrace has plenty of space for everyone and it’s a nice place to have drinks, sunbathe, swim or just use the lounge area. Also, we got every single perk that we were promised. The room was nicer than what I’ve encountered in most american chain hotels. Pick this hotel - it’s a great value for the money!

Old hotel, but very central
The lounge of Plaza is very nice, nice seats, sofa’s, there u can lounge and use the free wifi. The room was clean, but old, but the beds were very nice and the A/C was very quiet. The view from my room was the ocean, i loved it. The shower was also nice, but everything needs an upgrade, to meet todays standard. There was a free breakfast and that was very good, everything was there, a real nice spread. There is a pool and there was live music in the evening. I had a great time!
Traveller's tip on local attractions
The Plaza is in the center of shops and u can walk to the other side on the bridge and visit the shops in the "riffort", very nice!
