My second visit won’t be last
A great place to stay in Montpellier if budget,safe location and comfort are on the agenda. Close to tram service,the local Beaux-Arts area or even a pleasant walk onto old Montpellier. On both my visits Citadines Saint Odille has met all the expectations raised on the Expedia site. A clean room,full working kitchenette,BBC/CNN in English on TV,self-service laundry on site,very helpful and polite staff.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Make full use of the excellent,good value TAM local transport service. Avoid tourist orientated Place De La Comedie in favour of the old town. Try "Bouchon St. Roch" on the corner of Rue Du Plan D’Agde/Rue Du Petit St. Jean for dining on quality traditional French and regional fare at a great price.

Fold-Out Bed
This hotel seems to be quite family orientated, situated a good 45 minute walk from the centre of Montpellier. For people using it as a base to explore the city rather than to make use of the pool and other facilities it is not ideal, but there were lots of families around who seemed to be enjoying themselves. Having a fridge in the room was convenient but having a fold out bed was a bit of a shock, but again if you were using the room during the day perhaps it would make sense. If you actually want to see Montpellier perhaps try somewhere closer to the city centre.

A little out of the way
Although a little functional and away from the city centre, this is reasonable accommodation for a brief stay in Montpelier. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and car parking was secure and plentiful. The rooms were clean but not huge.
On the road out of Montpelier, there’s a huge retail park where you can stock up on food.
