usefully central
I wanted a hotel within walking distance of Baths attractions and this met the bill. Plus the benefit of parking underneath, although very expensive: if I had come on my own it would have been cheaper to come by train. The restaurant overlooks the river, but not the salubrious part, and the waiters were anxious to clear my table if I turned my back for 5 seconds, but the breakfast was good. Everything you could want. The bedroom was reasonably well appointed, with iron, hairdryer, tea and coffee etc and a huge TV, but only one chair, and a shower but no bath, which was a big disappointment. Showers are for keeping clean, baths are for relaxing with a G&T. My room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the road, which was a bit noisy at night.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Close to everything in Bath - Abbey, shops, Roman baths etc, and the Spa - bliss.

Not Impressed
There was no pressure in the showers, the toilet paper was dreadful cheap and nasty. The breakfast hot selection was left under heat lamps and therefore you had rubber eggs and dried bacon, sausage etc. The 21.00 per night to park your car is excessive. The hotel is well positioned for just walking to all the attractions
Traveller's tip on local attractions
The free walking tour is excellent.
