Clean central cheap
The hotel was everything I expected at this price. Not flash but who needs chandeliers. It was spotless, comfortable and near the train station so there were always people around. There are a several Turkish cafes up the road which didn’t seem to close so you can always grab a bite to eat. I’d have no problem staying there again.

Down Town Den
I used this hotel for a 3 night stay with my family, and couldn’t wait to leave from the moment I got there. It was smack in the middle of the unlicensed red light area, and get hassled as soon as you leave the hotel. The rooms also have very thin walls, so expect noise til the early hours of the morning. The corridors seem very dark, even during the day. The best feature of the hotel is the breakfast, which is a good mixed buffet. The only staff you will encounter is a man on the desk, but do not disturb when he is reading his paper. He wont like that.

Hamburg is a great place to visit, and needn’t be expensive. Choose your area well and have a great time.
