Excellent service and location
The Savoy is a few short steps from Red Square and the attractions of historic Moscow. The hotel has old world charm, and our room was spacious, and well appointed. Those who staffed the registration desk were well informed about Moscow and could speak English well, and the service in general was excellent. To help prepare for a long day of sightseeing, the complimentary breakfast was hearty and delicious. A great choice for our visit.
Avoid expensive tourist-trap restaurants. Search out neighborhood eateries near the University or the Tchaikovsky Conservatory to get a flavor of Russian food and local character.

Old style elegance and formality.
If you like Empire style decor and customer service that is polite and formal you will enjoy the Hotel Savoy. Totally pretense-free. Comfortable. Clean. Calm. Great location (a short walk to Red Square). It was a great experience.

Hotel stay at Savoy Moscow
The hotel is a true 5 star hotel. Helpful staff in a otherwise unfriendly city. Expensive extras such as using the computer in the business center or WIFI. great location close to public transportation and within walking distance to Red Square. Good breakfast. Quiet and clean room. Safe location. Adequate for tourists and also for business.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Nice places to eat close to the hotel, better and cheaper than at the hotel. Hotel taxi is expensive but safe and the driver was very helpful on the transfer to the train station.
