Excellent Location
The Radisson in Sofia is in an excellent location. After an expensive taxi ride there from the train station (!), we were able to walk everywhere within the city. The hotel itself is very nice and the rooms are very big. There is free wireless internet access throughout the hotel which is very handy. However, for a 5-star hotel, I was disappointed that there was no swimming pool or jacuzzi (although there is a small gym and sauna). Breakfast was not included in our room rate and we did not pay the additional €22 per person for it, which we though excessive for Sofia. On the whole, it is a great base for exploring Sofia...

Hotel review
Good hotel, a little dated but nethertheless a good friendly staff. Big bathrooms with seperate shower and bath. Hotel a little boring for Leisure Travel more suited perhaps to the business traveller.

Large rooms, great location
Our room was huge compared with the typical European city hotel, with a substantial bed and a beautifully finished bathroom. The whole of the front wall was filled with a window looking out to the Bulgarian parliament. It is very light, but the the thick curtains gave us enough darkness to sleep in. The advent of capitalism has brought only patchy improvements to the city of Sophia, but at the Radisson, you could be anywhere in the West.
